The Oklahoma Justice Circle was established in 2014, emerging from the Salt and Light Leadership Training (SALLT) program.
Initially, our mission focused on uniting faith and community leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue surrounding reconciliation and criminal justice reform in Oklahoma.
In 2017, we partnered with the Greater OKC Chamber's criminal justice initiative, led by influential business figures like Clay Bennett, to emphasize the importance of the community in achieving lasting change.
Through a comprehensive analysis of Oklahoma's criminal justice system, we identified systemic issues such as poverty and bias as fundamental challenges, prompting our commitment to address racism as a pivotal element of effective reform.
